At Red Rock Construction, we believe every foundation tells a story. For owner DJ Buthe, that story began in Sioux Falls during the 1980s. As a young boy, DJ spent countless hours helping his dad with construction projects around the house. Whether holding a shovel or learning the basics of craftsmanship, those moments sparked a lifelong passion for building and problem-solving.

That passion led DJ to serve his country in the Army National Guard and later to South Dakota State University, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering. Over the years, DJ honed his skills designing and managing construction projects across southeastern South Dakota. With a commitment to quality, innovation, and community, DJ took a leap of faith to establish Red Rock Construction, a proud veteran-owned company.
